Barfoot Design were appointed to create a family ‘city-escape-haven’ with modern amenities within a traditional Italian and biodiverse landscape. The challenge was the sheer scale of the estate, ensuring the surrounding agricultural landscape, ancient woodland, meadows, and garden were harmonised by natural borders and planting.

The land itself is undulating, dissected by a 200-metre drive fringed with of oak trees. The gardens’ atmosphere now feels protective, nestled, and nurtured.
