Barfoot Design were appointed to redesign a tired 1960’s swimming pool for the clients’ family to enjoy private retreats. Barfoot kept the original pool outline and introduced new planting and a pool terrace which offered an expansive area to lounge in the summer sun. A vine-covered pergola adjacent to the bar and kitchen area provides an idyllic place to relax away from the sun. a wood fired sauna was placed at the rear of the pergola which adds another level of luxury and wellness.

The low maintenance planting offered a simple and calming vibe, mainly using grasses punctuated with areas of architectural yucca.
