Project Description

Location: Private garden on the island of Mallorca, Spain.

Design brief: Collaboration with writer and garden designer Stephen Lacey.

Approach: We have been working with Stephen on this large garden for the past three years. Our approach is thoughtful and sensitive to the surrounding landscape. The hot dry summers and thin soil over chalk have been a huge challenge but we have succeeded in creating lush subtropical borders and formal gardens around the house and areas of Mediterranean and wildflower planting weaving beneath wild olive trees and maquis scrub.
